With 3 class championships in B Tunnel (6650 Points), 20 Kneeler (6925 Points), and 3s Kneeler (7950 Points) along with a 2nd place finish in A Tunnel (7294 points), the 2019 District 8 High Point Award goes to Bill Mowatt!
Bill has been racing for over 30 years. He is a former APBA National Champion and multiple time class winner in District 8, but this will be his first District 8 High Point Award. Bill says “Winning the high point is a complete honor. It wasn’t even on my bucket list! Also big thanks for everyone’s help this season.”

Jerry has been racing since 1965 and in the 20 tunnel class since the K&B 3.5 Outboard was first introduced in 1975. He won the first NAMBA Nationals 20 Stock Outboard Class in 1977 at Reno, NV. This is his 13th District 8 20 Stock Tunnel Championship, the first in 2002.

Bill has been racing tunnel hulls for over 30 years. He is a former APBA National Champion and multiple time class winner in District 8. This is his first District Championship in B Tunnel in what he considers by far the best driving tunnel he’s ever raced.

Jeff has been racing since 2008 and has had a lot of success in the Sport 20 class over the years. He has won multiple District 8 Championships, held the Sport 20 2 lap world record on two different occasions and is the 2019 Sport 20 National Champion.

Jim’s Oberto Thunderboat was one of the original Gas Thunderboats back when the class was started. After testing and development, it served as the plug for the fiberglass Insane RC Boats T-1 Thunderboat.
