Jim entered 31 classes and ran 105 heats in 2024, leading District 8 in both categories and winning back-to-back High Points championships, his 4th since 2015.

This is a Mike Hughes boat, originally an electric tunnel, which Jim converted to nitro. Jim says, “while it’s not the fastest boat, it runs well and finishes consistently.”

The boat was given to Dennis by “The World Famous Jerry Dunlap”. It wasn’t the fastest, but it finished all of its heats. Dennis says he’s “working the bugs out and looking for more speed”.

Jim had an 8′ hydro with a Mercury Mark 25 when he was a kid. During the off-season, he decided to see if I could build a 3s Kneeler like it. “Needless to say, I am happy ( and very surprised) with the results.”
